The 2010 Green Factor

A timely article on the "Green Factor" as provided by the link below. Several large integrators in 2009 had announced their "green program" which basically depends on the ability of that logistics company to measure their carbon footprint. This in fact is no small undertaking however it will be the buzz word and politically correct statement of 2010, especially those companies that are seeking governmental and large non-profit contracts.

Greening will be the best publicity for many companies. Press releases about green intiatives will I predict garner more attention than news about a new trade lane, an appointment, or contracts.

There are also a considerable number or lean supply chain or green logistics websites that for the most part do a great job of explaining how companies are actually making a difference in their transportation solutions.
